Hunslet Warriors are THE team in Yorkshire according to a scout I spoke to at Feathersone Lions the other week. Having played 2 teams from this division, I fully expect Portico to be in the final. Good Luck

Good luck to both our NWC teams in there semi finals, lets hope for a all NWC final. Halton and Portico one and two in the league, Halton and Portico play each other in quarter final of NWC cup and now both in semis of national cup, well done to both teams, player and coaches good luck to you both.

Good luck to both NWC sides next weekend, we got beat by Hunslet in the National this year but they are certainly beatable - key being to control their number 4 - strong runner outwide and pivotal to the teams go forward! Watch their pivot for cheeky chips over and runs at the ruck area too!

Am sure Portico will get the measure of them!

Based upon our experience of Hunslet Warriors (we beat them in their own back yard at U14's and we were a Div 1 team)Portico will have no problem in progressing to the Final and I believe that the Hunslet team at this age, is pretty much as it was then.

If the lads from Saints play in the same manner with the fluency and clinical finishing they showed against us last Sunday, I cant see anybody beating them!

I cant see past a PV v HFH final.

Busy time for one of these two:

Cup quarter final this weekend (14th), winners play Pats in the semi next Wednesday (18th), Both have National Cup semi next Sunday (21st) followed by NWC Cup final the following week (28th).

Potential 4 cup games in 14 days....

As well as the games already mentioned, there is still a lot of the widnes boys involved in the quarter final of the powergen schools national cup that has to be played at some time next week (p n p versus wade deacon) and a tough England training day for a lot of the lads from both portico and the hornets on the 20th. It really is going to be a tough couple of weeks.
